Our pastor grew up in a Presbyterian home by the grace of God as the adopted daughter of an ordained minister and a preschool teacher. She began to experience God’s call at an early age, preaching her first “sermon” at age 11. Judith went to Austin College, in Sherman TX, majoring in Classics and British Literature. After also earning a Master’s in Education there, she taught secondary school for eleven years.
When Judith recognized a renewed and urgent call to ministry, God gave her to study at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Upon graduation she was awarded the Andrew Patterson Fellowship in Biblical Theology and the Esther Horner Award for her contributions to community life while in seminary. She has served churches in Kentucky, Florida, and Arkansas.
Judith’s hobbies include puzzles, games, crafts, and lots of music. She also has two sons with whom she enjoys camping, hiking, watching movies, traveling to new places, and riding the occasional roller coaster!
